Fly
Fortaleza possesses an international airport. There are flights from Amsterdam with, amongst others, FlyBrazil and Tap air.
Flybrazil
The direct flight last approximately eight and a half hours. You can buy tickets from Flybrazil. On this site it is possible to book amongst others, "seat only" tickets. The price of a ticket depends very much on the time of year you want to go and the length of your journey. In low season you already can fly for € 599,00; in high season you pay approximately € 1000,00. Flybrazil offers you the possibility to up-grade your flight to comfort class. For this you pay € 49,00 extra per one-way trip. The advantage of this is that you will get 10 cm extra leg space. The maximum amount of luggage that you can take is 20 kg. Flybrazil flies once a week.
TAP Air
TAP Air flies everyday from Amsterdam or Brussels with a stop over in Lisbon. The total duration of the flight is a bit over eleven hours. The advantage of flying with Tap Air lies in the amount o luggage you are allowed to take: two pieces of maximum 23 kg. each.
Your surfboard is transported for free. The tickets with Tap Air slightly more expensive. Check for exact prices on www.flytap.com.
Livingston
Recently it is also possible to fly from Milan direct to Fortaleza with Livingston airlines. For more information check: www.lauda.it
Transport fro Fortaleza airport to Cumbuco
Cumbuco is a 35 minute drive from the airport. You can either go by taxi or hire a car. If you would rather have a transfer from the airport, you can contact us in advance and we will organise for you to be picked up and dropped off at the airport for € 30,00 per person. Through our contact data you can indicate if you want to make use of this service.
Departure tax
When leaving Brazil, you have to pay departure tax. Just before checking in you need to pay approximately € 30,00 in cash. This amount can be payed in euros, dollars or reais.
