The finishing phase
We can advise it to anybody! Take the time, for instance on a raining Sunday afternoon, and ask yourself: With how many organizations do I have a subscription or an automatic payment? You'll be amazed; started consciously or unconsciously, there are many of them! We speak from experience. Insurances, charities, dailies, weeklies, mobile phone, lotteries etc etc. well after a few days of telephone calls and sending written confirmations we've gotten rid of most of them, but what to with health insurance, a life insurance? Our passport and drivers license have nearly run out, so we need to apply for these before we leave. Our kitchen utensils, bookcases, furniture, when are we going to get rid of these? Where are we going to put our personal stuff into temporary storage? And then of course the personal leave-taking that comes ever closer. Birthdays, Christmas, New Years Eve are booked out. Everything is for the last time and is influenced by our approaching departure from Holland.
The starting phase
And yes, then there is also the starting phase. How is that going, by the way? The residents permit was in the bag. All blue prints, both of the restaurant and our house have been submitted to the council. There is also a hydraulic blueprint and the plans for the electricity provision have been submitted. Now we have to apply to be connected to the grid, but there is no grid yet in the sand dunes... the building permit is under consideration with a certain Mr Bosco of Semace, an office for building permits. On January 20 he checked out our block of land. The first phase is finished. The only thing left is the licenÁa de installaÁao. This will take several weeks according to Mr Bosco, after which the council will do its final check. Finally things start to take shape!
www.0031.com; It's in the air!
The last few weeks Ingrid and ourselves have worked hard on our site. This site had to be finished before January 20 because of the publication of our article in the magazine Safe. The site has a clear layout; you'll find information about Cumbuco, the surrounding area, ourselves, the apartments and the restaurant. And if you want to know more about kite surfing, hose riding, buggy tours, sailing or walking, well, then you've found the right site! Also with connection to this site, we checked out the surrounding area during our last holidays, a field research in other words. We visited villages in the area, we went to the jungle and we gained information about the Fortaleza football team. You probably assumed that we were lazing about on the beach but nothing is further from the truth! We went to extremes to offer you, our future guests, a complete picture. You see: no amount of effort is too much for us!
Morocco on the way to tomorrow...
In our previous newsletter we have already told you about our Moroccan van that has been on it's way to Holland since early summer. An update: the van is still on it's way and we won't loose confidence, Inshallah...
Until next time!
